Tan Sri Hasmah Abdullah


Tan Sri Hasmah Abdullah has over 37 years of working experience in the Inland Revenue Department, which is later known as the Inland Revenue Board. She completed her tertiary education in University Malaya, and started her career as an Assessment Officer at the Inland Revenue Department. For over 23 years, Tan Sri Hasmah took on various roles within Inland Revenue Department, including becoming the director for several Inland Revenue state offices before being appointed as the CEO/Director General of Inland Revenue Board in 2006. After successfully helming Inland Revenue Board for 5 years, she retired in 2011. Tan Sri Hasmah is currently the Tax Advisor for Price Waterhouse Coopers.

 


Md Tajuddin Md Isa


Md Tajuddin Md Isa graduated from the Officer Cadet School, Portsea, Victoria, Australia and commissioned as an officer with the Royal Malay Regiment of the Malaysian Armed Forces. He read law at the University of Sheffield, England and obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice with the Legal Profession Qualifying Board. He is currently the Managing Partner at Messrs Md Tajuddin & Co, Advocates & Solicitors, Kuala Lumpur and has considerable experience in litigation, corporate and conveyancing matters with strong emphasis in Islamic Banking since 1990. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Simpanan Nasional.

 


Sulaiman Mustafa

Sulaiman Mustafa has over thirty-one years experience in real estate professional services. Finishing his O and A levels education at the Royal Military College and on Federal Government scholarship, he went to in London in 1969 and successfully sat and completed in three years professional course in Chartered Surveying, specialising in Property Valuation, Management & Consultancy, of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In the process he won the RICS 'Julian Rogers' prize for being the student in the RICS exams. On his return to Malaysia in 1973, Sulaiman was posted as a Valuation Officer in the Federal Government Ministry of Finance's Jabatan Penilaian dan Perkhidmatan Harta and less than a year later in the role of Acting Deputy Director for the Selangor State. Two years in service, he resigned in 1975 to join Baktimara Sdn Bhd, subsidiary company of MARA, as a Property Manager and in the same year was invited to lecture at University Technology Malaysia, where he continued as senior lecturer until 1978. In 1976, he left Baktimara to become Associate Partner og Jones Lang Wootton and in 1978 Proprietary Partner of the firm. He is currently Deputy Chairman and Executive Director and Senior Partner of Jones Lang Wootton, Malaysia and is actively involved with all aspects of the firm's services.

 


Fazlur Rahman Ebrahim

Fazlur Rahman Ebrahim started his career with Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad where he served various divisions/departments, such as International Supervision, International Credit, Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking. His last position there was Head of Corporate Banking. In 1998, he joined Danaharta Urus Sdn Bhd. as the General Manager and managed over 1,000 accounts with total assets exceeding RM11.2 billion. He was later assigned to Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad as General Manager 1, Operations. In January 2003, he joined Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad as its President/Chief Executive Officer. Subsequently, in May 2005, he assumed the post of Chief Operating Officer of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. But his expertise and leadership was greatly needed elsewhere and so, beginning 1st December 2005, he became the Managing Director of Prokhas Sdn Bhd. Fazlur has also been appointed as a Commission Member of the Securities Commission Malaysia, and Board Member of Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad, Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan, Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad, Permodalan Felcra Sdn Bhd and the Credit Counseling and Debt Management Agency (or AKPK, which is under the purview of Bank Negara Malaysia) respectively. He is also the Principal Officer of DanaInfra Nasional Berhad and Turus Pesawat Sdn Bhd. Fazlur holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Ohio University, Athens, USA and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Finance from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
